'Sopranos' pals mob premiere of James Gandolfini movie

Family sticks together, and Monday night in New York, the television family of the late "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini turned out for the premiere of one of his last movies, "Enough Said."

Edie Falco, who played Carmela, the wife of Gandolfini's Tony Soprano, walked the red carpet and smiled as she posed in front of of a movie poster showing her former co-star. The two worked together for six seasons on the HBO drama. Gandolfini died of a heart attack in Italy on June 19 at the age of 51.

Other "Sopranos" stars who turned out included Aida Turturro (Tony's sister Janice); Tony Sirico (Paulie "Walnuts"); Steve Schirripa (Bobby "Bacala"); and Vincent Curatola (Johnny "Sack").

Gandolfini stars alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the romantic comedy about a masseuse who falls for a man she meets at a party only to learn he is the ex of one of her good friends.

Writer/director Nicole Holofcener addressed those in attendance at Monday's premiere, according to Buzzfeed.

"Obviously, Jim is not here, and I’m very sad that he’s not standing up here with us right now,” Holofcener said. "He hasn’t seen the movie — he never saw the movie — so maybe he’s watching. I’m very honored that his family is here. And I’m also thrilled that so many people that worked with him for so many years, and really loved him and knew him are here. Thank you for coming and sharing with us."

Buzzfeed also noted that applause followed Holofcener's speech, Gandolfini’s first appearance on screen and during the end credits which revealed a simple "For Jim" dedication.

"Enough Said" opens on Sept. 18.
